Expedition to the east of Bali, firstly stop at Goa lawah Temple ( The Bat Cave Temple),facing Lombok strait,with it's black sand and colourful traditional sailing boats called Jukung then visit Balinese rural house try balinese young coconut at Bale bengong,continue Padang Bai on the tranquil east coast of Bali,a perfect location for swimming on pristine white sand beaches,there are four to choose from great spot for snorkling, fishing and diving, better known as a fantastic diving destination,also the place to catch the ferry to Lombok.Then to Pantai Putih,a few kilometers north of Candidasa in the village of Perasi you will see a hand painted sign on the right advising " White Sand Beach" It's a rough road down but well worth it as the end, nestled between headlands, is a beautifull unspoiled beach with azurblue, crystal clear water.Safe for both swimming and snorkling ,enjoy lunch at small warung.and then Taman Ujung,a small fishing village on the coast and the site of a majestic old water palace with pools,moats,canals and fountais.Formally opened in 1921, the palace was occupied by the last raja Karangasem,Anak Agung anglurah.expedition continue to Amed , less than an hour from Candidasa is Amed, one of the last unspoiled areas of Bali and untill recently it's best kept secret.Amed is actually a collection of small fishing villages occupying half moon bays, strectching some 5 kms along the rugged coastline with volcanic hills rising steeply behind.It's a divers and snorkelers paradise with coral reefs and even a bombed japanese patrol boats, all just off the beach.On the way back to the hotel we will stop at Tirta ganga,nestled in the beautiful rice paddies of east Bali on the site a sacret spring,the last Raja Karangasem built his weekend retreat,an elaborate water palace with views of the ocean to the east and Mount Agung to the north
